TransForce Inc. in Virginia, a workforce solutions provider to the transportation industry, Monday announced it has acquired SafetyServe, a Bloomfield Hills-based software company and a provider of online safety training courses to government agencies, insurance companies, and other organizations.

“We are very excited to partner with SafetyServe and its management team to enhance our safety offering and carry the safety message through formal training,” says David Broome, president and CEO of TransForce. “We take pride in our safety record, including our exceptionally low DOT reportable accident rate. SafetyServe and their long-standing partnership with the National Safety Council is a great addition to the TransForce family.”

SafetyServe has provided safety training courses in partnership with the National Safety Council since 1998. It will continue to operate from its Bloomfield Hills location and will keep its existing management team.

“We are excited to join the TransForce family,” says Wade Mezey, CEO of SafetyServe. “In particular, we believe that TransForce’s scale and reputation will enable even broader awareness and adoption of our safety courses.”

TransForce has completed 10 acquisitions in the past five years and intends to acquire other services providers in the areas of safety, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration compliance and training, and education.
