Livonia-based Virginia Tile Co. announced it will be opening a new flagship location at 900 West Maple Road in Troy, near Crooks Road.

The move will allow the company to consolidate its contractor-focused Sterling Heights location and design showroom in the Michigan Design Center in Troy into one space to better serve its customers.

“With the opening of this new location, we are changing our strategy — focusing on both showroom customers and contractors to give each of them a best-in-class experience,” says Sean Cilona, director of product and marketing at Virginia Tile.

The more than 45,000-square-foot facility will be home to the company’s modern showroom and exclusive contractor lounge in addition to office space and a fully stocked warehouse. The lounge will include a will call service allowing for fast and convenient pick up of products and project materials.

The company is preparing for a soft opening mid-to-late summer, with a grand opening to follow. Visit here to see updates about the dates of these events.

“We’re bringing a premium tile and stone experience to the Troy design community,” says Cilona. “Serving customers in 14 states, this space will be our biggest and most well-thought-out location yet.”

Founded in 1928, Virginia Tile Company is a leading tile distributor in the Midwest, servicing 14 states from two distribution hubs in Livonia, and Kansas City, Kan. The company specializes in porcelain, ceramic, stone, glass, metal, and mosaic design solutions.
