UNTUCKit, the brand of men’s shirts designed to be worn untucked, opened its first Michigan store today at the Somerset Collection in Troy. It is the company’s 45th store nationwide.
“We like to open stores where our customers are, so after seeing that so many people from the Troy and Detroit community were shopping with us online, we wanted to bring the product to them,” says Chris Riccobono, founder of UNTUCKit. “The Somerset Collection is a perfect location, and we’re in some great company with other retailers, so we’re excited to have picked the area for our first store in Michigan.”
The store occupies a 2,000-square-foot space and is designed with the customer in mind, according to UNTUCKit, featuring a casual lounge area and walls painted a comforting deep blue. A classic, wood table displays the brand’s top picks for the season.
The brand was created in 2011 to solve the problem of the long, sloppy-looking untucked and ill-fitting dress shirts. Since then, the brand has introduced products ranging from T-shirts and polos to sports jackets and performance wear. Last year, UNTUCKit launched lines of apparel for women and boys.
While UNTUCKit started as shirts that are the perfect length to be worn untucked, it has evolved to offer high-quality garments made of high-thread-count cotton for every body type.
