RE/MAX of Southeastern Michigan today announced the merger of RE/MAX in Bloomfield Hills with RE/MAX Classic, which operates offices in Farmington Hills, Canton Township, Novi, and Milford. Terms were not disclosed.
“I realized it would benefit RE/MAX Classic to have an office presence in Bloomfield Hills, especially since our agents already do quite a bit of work in that area,” says Carol Boji, broker and owner of RE/MAX Classic. “This merger expands our reach and is a huge benefit for us geographically.”
Boji says the merger will create one of the largest real estate firms in southeast Michian. Under the terms of the agreement, RE/MAX in the Hills of Bloomfield Hills will now operate under the RE/MAX Classic name. Joan Downing will continue in her role as managing broker and co-owner of the Bloomfield Hills location.
RE/MAX Classic had gross sales or more than $740 million in 2014, and closed on nearly 4,000 in residential real-estate transactions.
The RE/MAX network was founded in 1973. Today, the company has more than 97,000 agents operating in 95 different countries.
