A conference on connected vehicles and cyber security with panels led by automotive industry leaders will be held at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi next week.

“There’s every chance here, not to just meet with the biggest influencers, but to become an influencer and be part of the conversations that result in the next iteration of the connected car,” says Ruthana Foulkes, head of research at TU-Automotive, the host of the event.

Panels will include discussions about infotainment and user experience, the necessity of self-driving, and cybersecurity within vehicles. Speakers include automotive industry executives Dan Kinney, director of user experience for General Motors; Jim Buczkowski, a technical fellow and director for Ford Motor Co.; and Dan Teeter, director of connected vehicle services for Nissan, among other speakers from an array of software and startup companies. The conference will feature about 150 speakers and 200 booths.

The TU-Automotive Detroit conference will offer Michigan residents the opportunity to attend the exhibition on the afternoon of June 3 or June 4 for free.
