Troy’s Automation Alley, an Industry 4.0 knowledge center and technology and manufacturing business association, is moving its Integr8 conference to Detroit’s TCF Center (formerly Cobo Center) to accommodate an expected 1,000 attendees and an expanded Smart Technology Expo.
Taking place Wednesday, Nov. 6, the third cross-discipline global conference is focused on the eight core smart technologies of Industry 4.0: internet of things; big data; robotics; artificial intelligence; the cloud; cybersecurity; additive manufacturing and advanced materials; and modeling, simulation, visualization, and immersion.
Integr8 attracts Michigan and U.S. manufacturing and technology leaders as well as those from around the world. Countries represented at last year’s conference included Canada, France, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, Italy, Greece, Malaysia, China, and Japan.
A new format this year will include roundtables and breakout sessions. National and international keynote speakers and panelists will offer insights on how to capitalize on the transformation of global manufacturing while ensuring the workforce is prepared for the changing job landscape.
The Smart Technology Expo will also include global exhibitors.

The Michigan Economic Development Corp. and the World Economic Forum are Integr8 supporting partners. IBM and Intel have signed on as event sponsors, bringing the number up to 41.
