The Toledo, Ohio, location of Rehmann, a financial services firm of certified public accountants and consultants headquartered in Troy, is merging with Sobb Roberts, a Toledo-based accounting firm that offers assistance with taxes and audits.
As part of the merger, Rehmann and Sobb Roberts, currently located in a 6,400-square-foot facility, will move to a new 13,000-square-foot facility in Toledo. The office space will house 64 employees, 17 of whom are from Sobb Roberts.
The new facility will provide expanded accounting, business consulting, wealth management, and corporate investigative services to organizations and individuals.
“Expanding our presence in Ohio — Toledo, especially — is important to us,” says Randy Rupp, CEO of Rehmann. “We’re very happy to be a part of the city’s business community.”
Rehmann acquired its Toledo location three years ago when it merged with accounting firm Spilman, Hills and Heidebrink.
Rehmann, which has been in business for 75 years, is an independent member of Nexia International, a global network of independent accounting and consulting firms.
The company has more than 800 employees and 17 locations throughout Michigan, Ohio, and Florida, with plans to further expand in Ohio and Florida.
