Troy-based Kelly Services Inc. launched a free iPad app that provides job seekers with employment openings, career search strategies, and videos relating to workplace trends.
“Today’s job seekers want to learn, engage, and react quickly in today’s job market,” says Carolyn Palmer, spokeswoman for Kelly. “The WorkWire app is the latest extension of Kelly’s other mobile and interactive channels, allowing individuals to find jobs and tap into Kelly’s latest career advice, tips, insights, and information.”
The new app, unveiled on Monday, is built on the same platform as the company’s Talent Project iPad app, launched in 2011 and connects users to content relating to workforce trends, talent acquisition, and management briefings.
While Talent Project is developed for employers and employees hoping to face and overcome workplace challenges, the WorkWire aims to help job seekers search for open positions and manage their careers, Palmer says.
The WorkWire iPad app is available at kellyservices.com/workwire.
Kelly Services offers outsourcing and consulting services as well as staffing on a temporary, temporary-to-hire, and direct-hire basis. In 2013, the firm worked with approximately 540,000 employees.
