Troy-based food management company Continental today announced the acquisition of Satellite Vending Co., a subsidiary of VendTek Wholesale Equipment Inc., located in Wixom. The agreement brings Continental a diverse client base and scalable technology platform, which will be combined with the company’s refreshment services line of business.
“Satellite Vending is a perfect complement to Continental’s refreshment services operations,” says Steve LaPorte, president of Continental’s refreshment services group. “Joining forces with Satellite also enhances our ability to reach more customers with our diverse on-the-go refreshment service options.”
LaPorte adds that Continental plans to focus on making strategic investments in innovation and technology to improve the customer experience in its entire portfolio of service. The company provides a wide range of custom dining, refreshment, and event services for more than 700 small and medium-sized businesses, large corporations, colleges, universities, industrial sites, hospitals, and medical centers.
