Red Olive Family Restaurant, Tropical Smoothie, and a UPS outlet are among the retailers and restaurants confirmed to locate at a new plaza along Telegraph Road, just south of Square Lake Road, in Bloomfield Hills.
“This is one of the most high traffic corners in the (region), so it’s tenants that really need the exposure,” says Austin Armstrong, a leasing agent with A.F. Jonna Development & Management Co., the owner of Tele-Square Plaza. “They’re going to really benefit from the traffic count coming through.”
Other retailers approved for the 17,500-square-foot center include U.S. Mattress, AT&T, and an urgent care center. Armstrong says there is one more spot to fill.
He says over the next couple of weeks, the businesses will begin build-outs. The urgent care center will open July 1, with other tenants opening soon after.
The Bloomfield Township Board of Trustees recently approved the tenants after a review by the Planning Commission and a public hearing — a process that took approximately 60 days, says Patricia Voelker, director of the Bloomfield Township Planning, Building, and Ordinance Department.
The addition of the Tele-Square plaza will complete the four corners of the intersection, which have also all been recently renovated.
The plaza, which was previously a two-story office building, will have parking in the front and back of the businesses.
