TravisMathew on Monday opened a store at the Somerset Collection North in Troy. It is the retailer’s first store in Michigan, and the 55th brick-and-mortar retail store overall.
With roots in southern California, TravisMathew is a men’s and women’s lifestyle and performance apparel brand. Founded in 2007, TravisMathew draws its inspiration from what it calls “laid-back living and the idea that comfort and style should always go hand in hand.”
Over the years, TravisMathew has created versatile, everyday looks that include “a smart blend of cutting-edge performance, premium style, and innovative design — for every activity.”
With more than 3,300 square feet of retail space, the Somerset Collection North store is located on the first level (space M150) between Bath & Body Works and Victoria’s Secret | Pink. The space features a large screen television, a glass ping pong table, and an old-school, arcade gaming station.
TravisMathew offers a variety of men’s and women’s clothing, including dress-up, dress-down styles and active wear.
“This is our first store in Michigan, and we are incredibly excited to open a location with The Forbes Co. at Somerset,” says Ryan Ellis , CEO of TravisMathew in Huntington Beach, Calif. “With a strong lake life culture and incredible golf, Michigan is like a home away from home for TravisMathew.”
The Somerset Collection store will have a grand opening event sometime in August with snacks, refreshments, and where customers will be given an opportunity to win discounts and prizes.
