The Somerset Collection in Troy Closes Due to COVID-19, Other Area Malls Adjust Hours

The Somerset Collection in Troy has temporarily closed as of Wednesday at 7 p.m. and will stay closed at least through March 27. Its full-service restaurants will remain open for carry-out curbside service.

The Somerset Collection in Troy has temporarily closed as of Wednesday at 7 p.m. and will stay closed at least through March 27. Its full-service restaurants will remain open for carry-out curbside service.

The majority of the mall’s retail partners have closed worldwide. The Forbes Co., managing partner of Somerset, is working with the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries to donate 2,000 meals.

“Whenever there has been a need, The Forbes Co. has stepped up to the plate to support our organization and the community we serve,” says Chad Audi, president and CEO of the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries. “Because of their generosity, 2,000 men, women, and children in Detroit, who may have otherwise gone hungry, will have a warm meal tonight. We can’t thank them enough.”

Oakland Mall in Troy remains open with adjusted hours of 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 12 p.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. Individual stores may have different hours. The mall is also sanitizing common touch-points throughout the property and offering hand sanitizer dispenser stations throughout the mall.

Great Lakes Crossing Outlets in Auburn Hills also remains open and has the same hours as Oakland Mall, while individual vendors may have different hours. It is increasing sanitation efforts regularly as well, and all events have been canceled until further notice.

Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi has enacted the same hours, while individual stores and restaurants may have different hours. It is disinfecting common areas more often and offering hand sanitizer stations. The children’s play area is closed, and all events have been canceled until further notice.

Hours have been altered to 12 p.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday at The Mall at Partridge Creek in Clinton Township. Stores and restaurants may have different hours, and all events have been canceled through the end of the month.

The Village of Rochester Hills remains open, while individual shops may adjust operating hours. All events have been canceled through the end of April, including Easter Bunny visiting hours. Sanitation efforts have been increased.
