The Joe Vicari Restaurant Group, in partnership with Tony Soave, chairman of Soave Enterprises, has announced the opening of the Bronze Door in Grosse Pointe Farms. The name harkens back to the original restaurant that operated in the 1960s and 1970s, before being replaced by The Hill Seafood & Chop House.
The Bronze Door, which is located at 123 Kercheval Ave. and open for dinner Monday through Saturday, offers classic American fare, handcrafted cocktails, and a curated wine list.
With an emphasis on seasonal ingredients sourced from local farms, Master Chef Daniel Scannell has curated a contemporary menu featuring signature plates, prime cuts, fresh seafood, specialty apps, and desserts.
Menu selections include a prime filet, steak and eggs, Berkshire pork porterhouse, old-fashioned lamb chops, All American tri-blend burger, bronzed Rueben, southern fried chicken, stroganoff, salmon bowl, little gem Caesar salad, and more.
The Bronze Door seats 90 for dining in the restaurant. The bar area provides room for 28 people with high top seating, along with 16 additional spaces along the bar. There’s also a banquet room available for 30 to 50 guests.
The bar has been kept largely the same due to the past popularity and tradition, but the Bronze Door has received remodeling including additional seating, kitchen equipment, lighting, a new color scheme throughout, and a new bronze entrance door.
The announcement for the opening of the Bronze Door as the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group in Warren brought forward Barleycorn’s Public House in Shelby Township, which opened in March, Birmingham Pub, which opened in April 2021, and The Statler Bistro which is set to open in downtown Detroit this fall.
“We are proud to bring the Bronze Door to the Grosse Pointe community. With respect to the name and traditions, the additional sophisticated vibe along with the exceptional food and drink options is something the Grosse Pointe community will enjoy,” says Joe Vicari, president of the Joe Vicari Restaurant Group.
The Bronze Door is open Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.; and on Friday and Saturday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. It is closed on Sunday. The restaurant has open positions for bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff. Applicants can apply online at www.bronzedoorgp.com.
