After a successful inaugural event earlier this summer in Detroit — with nearly 8,500 total attendees — The Big M event sponsored by SME will return to the Motor City in June 2015.

“The Big M brought together many key players from the manufacturing community to discuss innovation, policy and other critical topics in the industry,” says Debbie Holton, managing director of industry strategy and events for SME. “The Big M exceeded our expectations; the feedback from attendees, exhibitors, and speakers has been consistently positive. We continue to hear about the new connections and partnerships that occurred at the event, as well as excitement for The Big M 2015.”

Plans are under way for next year’s manufacturing conference and exhibition taking place at the Cobo Center from June 2-4, 2015.

The primary business fields featured at the 2014 Big M, and that can be expected again next year were: automotive, consulting and engineering, aircraft and aerospace, industrial and commercial machinery, research and development, medical and dental, consumer goods, and plastic products.

The Big M 2015 will feature an exhibit hall, a conference, and tours on the present and future of manufacturing practices and products.
