Michigan Auto Law, the largest law firm in Michigan that specializes exclusively in auto accident cases, has identified the Top 20 Most Dangerous Intersections in Michigan, and 11 Mile Road and Van Dyke Avenue in Warren/Center Line is the most dangerous.

According to Michigan State Police’s Traffic Reporting Unit numbers, the intersection, which includes ramps to and from I-696, saw 218 total crashes and 52 injuries in 2023. The total number of crashes increased 68.9 percent over the last five years, from 129 in 2019.

Michigan Auto Law says its goal in releasing the accident data is to give drivers the information they need to make safe decisions for themselves and their families, whether that means taking an alternative route or being extra cautious while traveling through one of the intersections on the list.

To help spread its safety message, Michigan Auto Law has also launched a public safety campaign with strategically placed billboards around several of the key intersections that have traditionally been on the list each year.
