Test Alerts, a subscription service that allows businesses to screen employees for COVID-19, has introduced upgrades to its subscription. New benefits include contact tracing. Test Alerts was launched by Troy’s PDANS Inc.
The company’s free model, which allows companies to conduct contactless collection of COVID-19 information by employees or visitors and monitor potential virus risks, is being used across the country. Many of the new features, which are available for a fee, are the result of customer requests, the company says.
The basic level, which is free, allows a business to conduct 500 surveys a month, receive unlimited employee locations, send unlimited recipient alerts, and access 30 days of survey history reports. Employees initiate and complete a survey by first scanning a QR code or entering a six-digit PIN in a web-based app on their phones.
The app pulls up a questionnaire that can be answered at home or in the car before entering the workplace. Users receive either a green check and “ok to enter” notification or a red flag and a “do not enter” notification. When a survey ends in a red flag, an alert is sent by email to the employer’s list of alert recipients.
“The survey is user friendly and takes less than 10 seconds to complete,” Roy Johnson, president of PDANS, said when the app came out over the summer. “Businesses are provided a secure, daily record of each employee’s results. This program is free to the subscriber. The program can be customized for the employer upon request.”
The new paid levels include the ability to customize and disable questions and translate questionnaires into different languages. Companies can also add branding such as their logo and a custom survey code for each work location. Text messages can also now be used to communicate COVID-19 risks in addition to emails.
“Of particular note is our latest release of Visitor Log Mode for restaurants and service businesses as they reopen to allow for electronic capture of names and contact information of visitors for contact tracing,” Johnson says. “It is literally a survey with no questions and can be used as a rapid check-in tool.”
The enhanced level, available for $75 per month, adds the text message alerts, company logo, a customizable survey code, customized survey questions, and survey history reports for 90 days.
The premier level, available for $200 per month, also allows a subscriber to create customizable location alerts based on survey location, grant dashboard access to individuals in an organization, have shared device access, view history reports for up to one year, and have the ability to export data to a Microsoft Excel sheet.
All data is securely maintained and not shared with outside agencies.
Progressive Drug and Notification System (PDANS) was founded in 2018. Its focus is to provide technology to testing agencies that support Michigan’s courts to enable efficient notification of drug and alcohol testing.
