Tech Startup Maximizes Digital Gift Redemptions

Holland-based Conpoto has partnered with The HoneyBaked Ham Co. allowing the tech startup — which provides digital gifts that can be accessed via the recipient’s computer or smartphone — to take its offerings to the next level.

“Since we launched in 2011, many gifts sent through Conpoto have been thoughtful, but small rewards — a latte here, a microbrew there,” says Matt Lepard, co-founder and CEO for Conpoto.

Now, as part of the collaboration with HoneyBaked of Michigan, if businesses use the conpoto.com website for their corporate holiday gift giving they will only pay for the gifts that are redeemed, rather than pay for the full freight. Individuals buying gift cards will continue to pay for them whether they are used or not.

Conpoto also offers gift cards to a variety of restaurants and retailers, including Dick O’ Dows in Birmingham, Mighty Good Coffee in Ann Arbor, and Leaf & Berry in Bloomfield Hills. While most of its partners are within Michigan, some are as far away as Kona Brothers Coffee in Waikoloa, Hawaii.

Conpoto’s relationship with HoneyBaked Ham was launched earlier this year, when the tech firm filled a national HoneyBaked Ham giveaway featured on Good Morning America
