CarbonTV, a Southfield-based outdoor, online over-the-top (OTT) streaming content site, Tuesday announced the relaunch of CarbonTV.com. Updates include a streamlined interface, faster-loading content, and a predictive featured-content engine that will provide a customized experience.

Also new, the CarbonTV audience will be asked to score shows and help drive viewing through the Carbon Score program. Embedded social media commentary for community engagement will also be available, says David Farbman, founder of CarbonTV.

“The new, abundant CarbonTV is the opportunity I’ve been waiting for,” says Julie McQueen, host of the CarbonTV original Outdoor Weekly. “This is the chance to tell bigger stories with broader topics. CarbonTV is far and away the online OTT destination for the outdoors.

“The changes David and his team have made will create more opportunity for everyone. We have to think in abundance, grow the outdoors, and protect our heritage for the future.”

CarbonTV works with outdoor talent to offer more than 200 shows and is the leading online streaming destination for outdoor and rural-lifestyle video. All video content is available free and on-demand at CarbonTV.com and through the CarbonTV app.

CarbonTV shares the ranks with industry leaders the Outdoor Channel and Sportsman Channel, and works with popular outdoor talent like “American Elements” star Cameron Hanes, “Bone Collector” and Carbon TV original producer Michael Waddell, conservationist and host Julie McQueen, Heartland Bowhunter Mike Hunsucker, UFC Fighter Chad Mendes, American country rap singer Big Smo, and The Virtue’s Phillip Vanderpool and TJ Unger, among others.
