The Sidecar Restaurant Group, based in Birmingham, has opened a Sidecar Slider Bar in the city of Grosse Pointe’s Village shopping district.
Located at 17051 Kercheval (east of Cadieux Road), the redesigned space features an expansive bar, elevated booths, in-booth TVs, and group seating. The location also features an arcade room and a dedicated entrance for carry-out orders and grab-and-go beer, wine, and canned cocktails.
The locally owned and operated Sidecar Slider Bar was created to offer a family-friendly and sports-oriented atmosphere with upscale sliders, ranging from beef to chicken and fish; shareables, salads, and a variety of gourmet hot dogs.
At the bar, guests can enjoy craft cocktails, a wide selection of craft beers, and a large collection of whiskeys and bourbons. Like the Birmingham location, the Grosse Pointe Sidecar Slider Bar will also be home to Slice Pizza Kitchen, with made-from-scratch wood-fired pizzas and calzones.
“Our goal has always been to create a destination that offers a unique dining and drinking experience and become known and loved for our vibrant atmosphere and fun approach to food and drinks,” says Steven Simon and Mark Adamo, partners at Sidecar Restaurant Group, in a joint statement. “We are thrilled to be opening our newest location in this phenomenal location in The Village and look forward to becoming a part of the Grosse Pointe community.”
Sidecar Slider Bar will be open seven days a week, beginning at 11 a.m., serving lunch, happy hour, and dinner. Brunch service will be offered on the weekends. Shift Kitchen and Cocktails will be open Tuesday through Sunday, beginning at 4 p.m. for happy hour, dinner, and late-night dining.
Serving up to 120 guests, the restaurant has hired around 50 bar and restaurant staff for front-of-house and back-of-house positions, including managers, cooks, servers, bartenders, bussers, and food runners.
The Grosse Pointe location will be the sixth Sidecar Slider Bar. Other locations include Birmingham, Farmington, Lansing, Brighton, and Plymouth. For more information about the restaurant and menu, visit SidecarSliderBar.com.
