Detroit-based leather and lifestyle goods manufacturer Shinola today announced the opening of its newest store, to be located at the Somerset Collection in Troy. It is scheduled to open by the end of the month.
Located on the second floor of Somerset Collection South, the 2,400-square-foot store will be the company’s third location in Michigan and 19th store in the United States. Shinola operates a store in Detroit’s Midtown and in downtown Ann Arbor.
“We are excited to continue to grow within the greater Detroit community,” says Tom Lewand, CEO of Shinola. “Detroit is, and will always be, our home, which makes us particularly proud of this new location. We are deeply grateful for all the support we continue to receive from this amazing community.”
The Somerset store will Shinola’s collection of watches, bicycles, leather goods, journals, jewelry, and audio equipment. The store will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Friday, and until 7 p.m. on Saturday, and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Founded in 2011, Shinola has 21 locations worldwide, with stores in New York, Los Angeles, London, and Washington, D.C., among others.
