Shain Park Realtors, a full service real estate brokerage firm serving Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne counties, is in the process of expanding its office in downtown Birmingham.
The company is adding two suites to its location at 260 Martin St., and the expanded office space will occupy 1,200 square feet.
James Cristbrook, cofounder of Shain Park Realtors says the company needed the extra space to accommodate its growing number of employees, which now consists of 20 agents.
New features for the company’s office include a conference room with sliding glass barn doors, open seating with workstations and stand up tables, and a Swarovski crystal chandelier in the restroom. Technologically, the entire space will be wireless, with the electronics, cooling, and heating controlled by an iPad.
The office will also feature local artwork, food, and drinks.
The contractor for the expansion is Birmingham-based Tri-Phase Construction, while Huntington Woods-based Sandra Stacey Design created the layout. Troy-based Ciot provided stone and tile for the office. All the materials used for the project are Michigan sourced, and the wood placed in the suites is recycled from old buildings in downtown Detroit.
“We feel like the history of the Detroit area is really important to the legacy that has brought us to where we are today,” Cristbrook says. “The tough times we have been through, the good times we have been through, has created a great entrepreneurial spirit.”
The project is expected to be complete Nov. 17, with an open house available to the public.
