SecureWorld Detroit will bring cyber security experts to Dearborn’s Ford Motor Co. Conference and Event Center for its 16th annual conference, scheduled to run Sept. 12-13.
The conference will offer training and collaboration to an expected 900 attendees on issues that threaten online security, privacy, and finances. Keynote speakers include Thornton May, a futurist, author, professor, and named one of the top 50 brains in technology today by Fast Company.
Other keynote speakers include Ron Winward, a security evangelist at Radware; Steven Shalita, a marketing and business development specialist at Pluribus Networks; and Larry Wilson, CISO (chief information security officer) and a member of the adjunct faculty at the University of Massachusetts.
“In the nine years that I’ve participated on the advisory council, what amazes me is that SecureWorld is that local event where I get to see and catch up with almost every regional security team once a year,” says Phil Agcaoli, senior vice president of U.S. Bancorp. and CISO at Elavon. “SecureWorld has also become one of the must-attend local conferences for myself and (our) teams. It is an affordable conference for the whole team and provides quality content.”
Featured presentations will cover the value of working in cyber risk or security, academic programs and career pathways for the cyber workforce, artificial intelligence, and cybercrimes and how to protect against them.
More than 40 solution vendors will offer product demonstrations.
Ford Motor Event Center is located at 1151 Village Road, across the street from the main entrance to the Henry Ford Museum. Conference packages start at $65 and go up to $745. More information and registration are available here.
