SameAddress, a company that provides seniors who live at home such services as medical monitoring, personal care, and transportation, has launched in Southfield.
“Until the creation of SameAddress, there wasn’t a one-stop solution for the private pay senior population seeking a trusted, comprehensive, and simplified service for in-home needs,” says Tina Abbate Marzolf, CEO of both SameAddress, and Area Agency on Aging 1-B, its parent company. The Area Agency on Aging 1-B is a nonprofit agency responsible for services to more than 620,000 seniors in the region.
Abbate Marzolf says SameAddress offers its services to seniors living in Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair, and Washtenaw counties. She says the company offers two general categories of services. For seniors with an active lifestyle, senior concierge offers the option of more than 30 services via a phone call, including help with household chores, home repairs, safety assistance, and tax returns. Senior concierge also includes a 24/7 emergency response.
The other program, Senior Care, is designed for older adults who may need help with remaining independent, offering services comparable to assisted living. SameAddress designs an individualized plan for seniors. Services include personal care, medical monitoring, and transportation.
Abbate Marzolf says SameAddress also offers a web-based dashboard which helps families monitor their relative’s health. Called dCare, it allows seniors and their caregivers to see what services have been scheduled, as well share health-related documents. She says upcoming features include telehealth data, which will allow family members to monitor their relative’s health in real time.
