Saint John’s Resort in Plymouth Township a 200-acre destination resort, has unveiled The Monarch, an event space which spans 24,000 square feet and has a capacity of 1,500 guests in theatre or cocktail-style layouts.

The Monarch is located in the center of the resort. The 15,000-square-foot ballroom includes a 200-foot glass wall that offers a seamless blend of indoor and outdoor space.

Spanning over three floors, the indoor area features 18-foot ceilings, illuminated by three skylights and nine crystal chandeliers.

An additional 13,000 square feet of space spread across three floors features a private bridal suite.

The Monarch is designed to host a variety of events, including weddings, receptions, galas, and large conferences.

Saint John’s Resort states it remains committed to a “Humanitarian Hotels” strategy through The Pulte Family Charitable Foundation stewardship. The introduction of The Monarch marks another addition to purpose-driven impact, with 100 percent of net profits dedicated to advancing educational and humanitarian initiatives throughout metro Detroit and around the world.

“We are delighted to unveil one of the most prestigious and expansive event venues in the state of Michigan,” says Eric Djordjevic, managing director at Saint John’s Resort. “The Monarch provides limitless opportunities for guests to host a truly luxurious event.

“The Monarch sets itself apart from traditional ballrooms with its meticulous attention to detail; from lighting and décor to sound and AV, while having the ability to transform into an indoor/outdoor activation making it an unforgettable setting for large weddings, conferences, and even intimate concerts.”

A state-of-the-art 100-foot sky wall allows for versatile room configurations, including a large dance floor and full wheelchair accessibility.

Featured alongside The Monarch is a 7,000 square-foot courtyard with water fountains and greenery, providing a separate outdoor space for guests.

Overall, Saint John’s Resort spans 200 acres, and offers 118 luxury hotel rooms and 56,000 square feet of meeting space. It features three dining and entertainment venues: the upscale FIVE Steakhouse, The Wine Grotto, and Doyles Irish Pub.

Originating in the late 1940s, the resort has evolved from a seminary to a retreat center, and subsequently to a conference center and hotel.

Under the stewardship of the Pulte Family Charitable Foundation, the property is currently undergoing a multi-million-dollar renovation.

The project has already introduced The Wine Grotto, The Garden Pavilion event space, Doyles Irish Pub, and The Cardinal, an 18-hole championship golf course, along with The Little Cardinal, a seven-hole par-3 short course, and The Cardinal Putting Course.

In addition, Saint John’s will host the LIV Golf Team Championship Michigan from Aug. 22-24 at The Cardinal.

Tickets are now on sale, including three-day grounds passes, Grounds Plus passes, and a variety of exclusive Hospitality Ticket options also are available here for fans to watch stars Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka, Phil Mickelson, and others compete on the new Raymond Hearn-designed championship course.
