Kalamata Greek Grill, a fast-casual Greek restaurant with locations in Royal Oak and Troy, will expand through a new partnership with Ann Arbor-based Franworth, a franchise management firm.

“Kalamata was built on our Greek heritage, our love for fresh, healthy food, and the desire to bring this cuisine to the masses,” says Dennis Chinonis, co-founder and CEO of Kalamata. “With two locations and years of success in the Detroit market under our belt, we are now ready to take our brand to the next level.”

Chinonis says Kalamata, founded in 2008, offers customized gyros on fresh-baked pita bread, Greek salads, and quinoa-based Greek Power Bowls, among other offerings. He says dishes are customizable with a variety of house-made sauces and toppings.

“… Kalamata is a completely unique concept in the fast casual space,” says John Rotche, managing partner of Franworth. “With these two factors combined, there is incredible long term growth potential for this brand.”

Rotche says Franworth will help Kalamata build a strong foundation, navigate acceleration, and create economic value both for franchisors and franchisees. Current clients of Franworth include TITLE Boxing Club, Spavia day spa, and Sweetwaters Coffee and Tea.
