Royal Oak-based TMV Group has signed on with Grand National Apparel to provide branding, marketing, and full e-commerce services for JKL, a clothing brand inspired by actor Matthew McConaughey.

“TMV shares the same positive ideas as we do for the JKL brand and for our future,” says Dennis Harrington, a spokesman for Toronto-based Grand National Apparel, which manufactures and distributes the clothing line. “This is a large investment for the brand, and we wanted an agency with a full expertise in e-commerce and branding, which TMV unquestionably has.”

McConaughey — known for his roles in films including Dazed and Confused, Lincoln Lawyer, and Dallas Buyers Club — launched the brand last year. The line, which features laid-back clothing for men and women, is named for the actor’s motto, “Just keep livin.”

A portion of every sale is donated to MConaughey’s Just Keep Livin Foundation, which starts and supports after-school fitness and wellness programs in underserved areas.

“We help brands of all kinds get their products fully engaged in the rapidly growing e-commerce channel,” says Scott Thornton, founder and managing partner of TMV Group. “We work seamlessly with our partner network so we can provide our clients with everything e-commerce, from click to ship.”

TMV Group is also working on the brand’s e-commerce website, justkeeplivin.com, which will launch in April.
