Plymouth Township-based Roush Performance, a designer and manufacturer of aftermarket performance parts, has unveiled its new 2016 Roush F-150 SC truck with a five-liter V8 engine that produces up to 600 horsepower and nearly 560 pounds per feet of torque. The vehicle is based off of a Ford F-150 pickup truck.

“The 2016 Roush F-150 SC is about high performance — whether it’s on the road, the track, or off the beaten path,” says Justin Schroeder, director of vehicle operations at Roush.

Schroeder says the pickup truck features Roush’s 2300 supercharger system, which increases horsepower by 56 percent and torque by 44 percent for the 2016 Roush F-150 SC. The vehicle also has Roush’s performance series suspension system that has front coil-overs and rear shocks with boots. The vehicle has 20-inch wheels and a side-exit exhaust system.

Schroeder says the truck has a front grille and fender flares with clearance lighting, a front bumper cover, and a square hitch cover. He says the vehicle also comes with a graphics package that includes the hood, front windshield, side rocker, and tailgate.

He says the 2016 Roush F-150 SC is available for purchase at Roush dealerships, in Brighton, Westland, and New Hudson, among others.

Roush Performance is a division of Roush Enterprises, and designs, engineers, and manufacturers pre-titled vehicles, aftermarket performance parts, performance crate engines, and marine engine superchargers. The company has also created an exhaust control for Ford Mustangs that allows users to change the vehicle’s sound through an iPhone app, along with a wake boat that gets 500 horsepower and is inspired by the Ford Mustang.
