Robert Redford’s Sundance store is scheduled to open a 4,126-square-foot outlet at The Village of Rochester Hills this summer, according to Birmingham developer Robert B. Aikens and Assoc.

Sundance is the actor/director’s American lifestyle retailer of men’s and women’s apparel, jewelry, footwear, accessories, and home furnishings. The Village of Rochester Hills location will be the retailer’s first location in Michigan.

Sundance Catalog was founded in 1989 by Redford to promote the work of artists and craftspeople from across the country and around the world.

“For us, it is a privilege to curate distinctive and artisanal collections, many pieces of which are exclusive to Sundance,” says Matey Erdos, CEO of Sundance. “We are thrilled to provide this experience to our loyal customers in the Michigan area who have a strong affinity and loyalty towards Sundance. We are confident our new store will be a great success.”

Sundance will join a host of new stores opening at The Village of Rochester Hills during 2020, including a Von Maur department store, which will open in the fall. Recent additions include Sephora, Barnes & Noble, [solidcore], and Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt.

“Our center serves as a vibrant location for retailers who are expanding into the Michigan market, and we are proud to partner with Sundance as they debut in Michigan.” says Bruce Aikens, vice chairman of Robert B. Aikens and Assoc. “We are committed to providing our shoppers with exciting new retail concepts, fitness, and enhanced dining destinations, as we continue to transform The Village.”
