The Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Southfield, formerly known as Embassy Suites Hotel, is now open for business with upscale amenities and accommodations designed for business professionals and groups.

“We’ve invested an additional $2 million in this hotel to offer every guest the upscale experience they deserve in addition to investing in our community with providing over 500 jobs to metro Detroiters,” says Shannon Steel, co-owner of the property.

The nine-floor hotel offers 239 two-room suites, which include 179 king suites, 49 double suites, 10 barrier-free suites for people with mobility restrictions, and a presidential suite.

Each non-smoking, pet-friendly suite comes with a private bedroom with either a king-size bed or two double beds; a separate work and living room area; a wet-bar with a microwave and refrigerator, two flat screen TVs with free internet, and spa-like bathtubs.

Additionally, guests can use amenities such as a fitness center, a pool, shuttle bus access, laundry, valet, and a shop and business center.

“This a prime location and our Wyndham team was more than excited to partner with us,” says Aaron Morris, co-owner.

Guests are near attractions such as Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum and the Detroit Zoo.

It is located about 15 miles from downtown Detroit and about 25 miles from Detroit Metropolitan Airport, with access to major highways including M-10, I-696, I-75, I-96, and Telegraph.

Along with a 9,500 square foot space designated for meetings, business events, and special occasions, the hotel offers continental breakfast and a soon to open restaurant for casual dining.

“You can enjoy an all-suite experience, with spacious, nicely appointed rooms, delicious food and drink, plus Topgolf Swing Suites is soon to be the center of it all — we’re more than a hotel, we’re a destination,” says LaShonda Allen, COO.
