Ram Truck and Jeep, both brands of Auburn Hills’ FCA, recently revealed their 2020 model lineups. New Rams will be offering more power, and new appearance and feature packages, while Jeep is offering two special edition Wranglers.

The 2020 Ram 1500 adds the all-new, third-generation 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel engine, becoming America’s most powerful half-ton diesel pickup, with 480 lb.-ft. of torque and a towing capability 12,560 pounds. The Cummins I-6 Turbo Diesel engine powers the 2020 Ram 2500 and 3500 heavy duty pickups to a never-before-seen torque rating of 1,000 lb.-ft.

All three models are offering new look and color options — including Hydro Blue, RV Match Walnut Brown, and Olive Green — as well as new feature packages.

“Buyers demand a good-looking truck with easy-to-use features,” says Reid Bigland, head of Ram Brand. “They often tell us that their Ram trucks are an extension of their personality and want to stand out from the crowd.”

In addition to the new engine, new options and features for the 2020 Ram 1500 include:

Ram 1500 appearance packages include the Night Edition (available on Big Horn and Laramie models), the Rebel Black Appearance Group, and New Rebel Safety Group, which includes adaptive cruise control with stop, go and hold, forward collision mitigation, lane departure warning-plus and automatic high-beam headlamps.

Also new for the Ram 1500 in 2020 are the standard comfort package, blind spot monitoring on Longhorn, optional Rebel exterior graphics, and 22-inch, two-toned wheel on Tradesman.

New features for 2020 Ram heavy duty models include:

  • Lane keep assist and adaptive steering now available on all trim levels.
  • Blind-spot monitoring, including easy-to-use trailer coverage.
  • Trailer tire pressure monitoring now available as an option on all trim levels.
  • Auxiliary camera system supports two different cameras.
  • 50-gallon fuel tank standard on crew cab models with eight-foot bed.
  • Black wheels are now available on Power Wagon.

Pricing on the new Ram models will be available at a later date.

Jeep is returning the Wrangler Willys edition to SUV’s lineup and introducing the new 2020 Wrangler Black and Tan. Both models are based on the Wrangler Sport S and feature unique exterior and interior content.

“Special editions are a perfect way for Jeep to connect with customers and feed their ideas and passion into the brand and its vehicles,” says Jim Morrison, head of Jeep Brand – North America. “Wrangler Willys harkens back to the original Jeep while Wrangler Black and Tan offers a unique look with a tan top. We are proud that both new models will add to the wide appeal Jeep Wrangler already offers.”

The 2020 Jeep Wrangler Willys and Black & Tan editions are available to order now. The 2020 Jeep Wrangler Willys has an MSRP of $33,740 for the two-door model and $37,240 for the four-door version. The Wrangler Black and Tan has a sticker price of $32,940 for the two-door model and $36,440 for the four-door.
