Rainbow Child Care Center, an early education provider based in Troy, has announced plans to open a 12,000-square-foot school in Detroit’s Midtown neighborhood. Set to debut in the spring of 2017, the facility will provide education for children ages six weeks to 12 years old.
“Midtown is thriving and full of energy, and there is an increasing need for high-quality child-care for families that live and work in the area,” says Patrick Fenton, founder and CEO of Rainbow Child Care. “This location is a natural fit, and we’re pleased to be part of the city’s growth.”
The new child-care center, to be located at 320 Mack Ave., will feature numerous classrooms, a full-size gym, and an outdoor playground. Academically, Fenton says Rainbow Child Care Center will focus on instilling students with problem-solving abilities, persistence, and an appreciation for lifelong learning.
The company, which has a mission of offering a challenging curriculum that supports intellectual growth, operates 122 centers in 12 states. Michigan locations include Troy, Auburn Hills, and Dearborn.
