The fast-casual restaurant Qdoba Mexican Eats is expanding its presence in metro Detroit with the opening of restaurants in Troy and Belleville, along with a second location in Royal Oak by the end of the month.

Jessica Salrin, senior brand manager of new markets at Qdoba, says the chain opened a restaurant earlier this week in Troy, located at 301 E. Big Beaver Rd., along with a restaurant in Belleville, near Romulus, at 10889 Belleville Rd., on Wednesday.

“When the third restaurant opens in Royal Oak on March 26 at 30754 Woodward Ave., Qdoba will have 60 locations in the state of Michigan, and 30 in the Detroit area,” Salrin says. The other Royal Oak location is downtown at 321 S. Main St.

She says Qdoba’s new restaurants have a new color scheme and all-new furnishings. The restaurant offers tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, taco salads, and tortilla soup. Examples include a taco made with lime chicken, guacamole, salsa verde, and cojita cheese, as well as a taco with grilled steak, three-cheese queso, pico de gallo, and fajita vegetables.

Denver-based Qdoba, founded in 1995, is a subsidiary of Jack in the Box Inc. The chain has more than 600 restaurants in 47 states and Canada. Locally, Qdoba has restaurants in Warren, Birmingham, Bloomfield Township, Auburn Hills, Livonia, and Farmington Hills, among other locations.
