The American Pharmacy Purchasing Alliance in Canton Township Thursday announced it has acquired Prestige Medical Group Pharmaceutical Solutions in Canton Township.
Prestige is a pharmacy that offers institutional, full-service, and long-term care with a licensed pharmacist who provides consultations for all aspects of pharmaceutical services, including a designated account specialist and next-delivery capabilities within the U.S.
It also partners with skilled nursing, assisted living communities, and other institutional living environments to provide pharmaceutical services.
Prestige will be a division of American Pharmacy and will be renamed APPA Group Purchasing Solutions. It is expected to increase and improve services provided to American Pharmacy members, particularly with group purchasing.
American Pharmacy expects that members will be able to take advantage of the group negotiated contracts to save money, time, and effort when ordering pharmaceuticals. Wholesale purchasing of pharmaceutical products is a challenge for pharmacy business owners because success often requires expert representation.
The group purchasing concierge service will offer an employee discount program, pharmacy education, and a government affairs program. American Pharmacy members will learn more about disease-specific care solutions, CE credits, and other clinical expertise and news. Member pharmacy business owners will also receive support for best business practices.
American Pharmacy provides tools and expertise for the pharmaceutical purchasing industry.
