Oakland University (OU) in Auburn Hill will open a Plum Market on campus in the renovated Oakland Center in Fall 2018. The partnership will focus on quality food, service, and engagement with students and faculty.

The choice to bring Plum Market to OU’s campus was based on the food purveyor’s selection of fresh ingredients and organic produce from local sources.

“Along with our campus-wide food service vendor Chartwells Higher Education, OU is proud to partner with Plum Market as the flagship dining location in the Oakland Center, which is currently undergoing a major renovation and expansion,” says Chris Reed, director at the Oakland Center. “The Plum Market location will include a coffee bar featuring freshly brewed Zingerman’s Coffee.”

OU, who serves more than 23,000 meals weekly and has an overall enrollment of close to 20,000 students, will offer Plum Market’s traditional menu options including fresh salads, natural meat and seafood entrees, artisan sandwiches, organic snacks, natural soups, a coffee bar, and freshly baked goods. Additionally, the market customizes their menu to best fit the needs of the customers they are serving.

“We could not be more excited to open this Plum Market location,” says Matt Jonna, Plum Market CEO and co-founder. “It’s an honor to have our brand complement Oakland University’s newly renovated dining facility. We believe our concept brings fresh and healthy offerings many of the students and staff will appreciate.”
