Livonia-based Pet Supplies Plus, which has 390 locations in 29 states, is adding a new line to its Redford Naturals portfolio of dry dog food Limited Ingredient Diet (LID) formulas.
The line includes flavors such as chicken, lamb, duck, and salmon mixed with sweet potato, with specific meals packed specially for puppies and large-breed dogs. The recipes are grain-free and refined for pets that perform better on a regulated diet because of food allergies or digestion difficulties.
Redford Naturals’ recipes are crafted to provide balanced formulas that use real meat as the number one ingredient and include ingredients that are free from corn, soy, wheat, and artificial preservatives, colors, and flavors.
The new LID line is also protein rich, but differs from Redford Naturals’ Grain-Free and Natural formulas by using a single animal protein as the first ingredient, which is combined with sweet potatoes to help combat a pet’s enhanced sensitivity to certain foods.

In total, Pet Supplies Plus will be offering 11 new bags of 4-oz. and 24-oz. bags of Redford Natural LID dog foods by the end of the month.
