A new location of the wellness brand Perspire Sauna Studio is now open at 1198 Walton Blvd. (northeast corner of Walton and North Livernois Road) in Rochester Hills.
The new Perspire Sauna Studio, a quickly growing nationwide infrared sauna studio chain, will serve metro Detroit by providing a wellness experience where red-light therapy and infrared technology combine to detox the body, burn calories, improve sleep, and ease pain.
The Rochester Hills location is owned by two local entrepreneurs, Stephanie and Rami Ubaydi.
After 34 years as a health care executive, innovator, and leader in the field, Rami Ubaydi departed the industry to pursue his desire for small-business development. Stephanie Ubaydi, a longtime marketing consultant, made the decision in 2012 to shift her focus to family and volunteerism within their community.
In addition, she became certified as both a physical therapy technician and personal trainer, which further ignited her enthusiasm for health and wellness.
Last year, during a vacation to Florida, the couple discovered and experienced Perspire Sauna Studio firsthand. After one session, the Ubaydis signed an agreement to become Michigan’s first franchisees.
“After our session in Florida, we knew we needed to help make the brand accessible to more people, prompting our decision to invest in Perspire Sauna Studio and bring one to our community,” Stephanie Ubaydi says. “The concept spoke to us through its innovation, healing capabilities, guest experience, and simplicity.
“It’s something that doesn’t exist in Rochester Hills and that we’re excited to get people through the doors to try.”
At the studio, visitors can learn about and experience the benefits of infrared saunas and red-light therapy. The premise of Perspire Sauna Studio is to give guests an immersive experience, utilizing the latest in infrared and sauna technology.
The studio also provides concierge-level service and premium amenities to ensure an effective 40-minute sauna session.
“What is most exciting to us with this opening is the opportunity to form lasting relationships with our members and to witness their progress along the way,” Stephanie Ubaydi adds. “Rochester needed an infrared sauna studio, and they did not even know it. The support has been great so far, with over 600 guests reserving their founding memberships.”
