Ori’Zaba’s Scratch Mexican Grill, a fast casual Mexican restaurant franchise, is coming to northern Oakland and Macomb counties, franchised by hospitality industry veteran Gary Wozniak. It is scheduled to open in late 2023 and specific location information will be announced at a later date.

“Gary is an impressive serial entrepreneur with experience in multiple sectors including food services, financial services, and nonprofit management,” says Jennifer Howell, president of Ori’Zaba’s. “He has a special talent for recognizing the potential of certain products or brands and introducing them to the marketplace successfully. He also values connections between different elements of his business ventures.”

Ori’Zaba’s menu includes customizable burritos, bowls, nachos, tacos, quesadillas, and salad, with toppings including grilled chicken, steak, shredded beef, and lime shrimp. Listed menu options include the surf and turf burrito made with steak, shrimp, potatoes, pico de gallo, got salsa, chipotle ranch, cilantro, pesto, cheese, and guacamole; or the ultimate steak fries topped with queso, pinto beans, steak, pico de gallo, hot salsa, diced jalapeno, sour cream, chipotle ranch, cheese, and guacamole.

Wozniak has made it his life’s mission to provide jobs and job training to those usually seen as unemployable due to barriers like prior prison sentences or addiction. His 30-year commitment continues to this cause continue be at the forefront his efforts today.
