Novi-based OPS Solutions has moved to a new, custom-built facility in Wixom that will focus on the company’s augmented reality technology Light Guide Systems, which is primarily used for manufacturing in the auto and medical industries.

Light Guide Systems, which consists of Light Guide Systems Classic and Light Guide Systems Pro, is a technology that projects step-by-step images on parts to assist workers with proper assembly. Company officials say it provides visualization, traceability, and flexibility to customers.

The new 10,000-square-foot facility, located at 48443 Alpha Drive, Suite 175, will provide OPS Solutions’ team of engineers with space to work on advanced features and demonstrate new manufacturing and assembly applications for Light Guide Systems.

“Demand for our augmented reality technology has grown dramatically in the last several years and we are excited to expand operations in southeast Michigan’s technology corridor,” says Paul Ryznar, president and CEO of OPS Solutions. “While our global presence is increasing steadily, it is critical to be part of the manufacturing landscape in Detroit.”

The company’s Wixom facility is now open and operational, employing 22 staff members. Guided tours of the facility are available.

Founded in 2005, OPS Solutions provides solutions to operational problems focused on visualizing complex manufacturing processes. The company introduced its Light Guide Systems in 2009. Accounts in key industries include aerospace, agriculture, automotive, energy, heavy equipment, and medical.
