The Livonia-based Olga’s Kitchen chain is partnering with Comerica Park for a limited time, offering its Mediterranean food to Detroit Tigers fans from July 4-6 and July 25-27.
As the Tigers take on the Oakland Athletics and the Los Angeles Angels, respectively, baseball fans can select items from the Olga’s menu, including The Original Olga and Olga Snackers.
The offerings will be available in Section 116, between first base and right field on the lower level.
Olga’s history in Detroit goes back more than 50 years. The company, which specializes in Greek American cuisine, was founded in 1970, with the first restaurant opening in the former Continental Market in downtown Birmingham. The company is owned by Team Schostak Family Restaurants in Livonia.
Olga’s Kitchen, launched by the late Olga Loizon in 1970, is the latest Michigan restaurant to have its food served at Comerica Park. The stadium also has fare by National Coney Island, Little Caesars Pizza, Meijer Market, Taqueria El Ray in Detroit, Detroit 75 Kitchen, and Bert’s Marketplace in Detroit.
