OjO Electric will introduce the Ford OjO Commuter Scooter at the 2018 Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas, which runs Jan. 9-12. The Ford OjO has a range of 25 miles with three speeds and topping out at 20 miles per hour.

Features include a patented on-board charger, dual Bluetooth speakers, LED front and rear lights, a USB phone charging port, and a wireless key fob with an alarm system.

“The OjO was designed to be an alternative mode of transportation for when your destination is too far to bike or too close to drive,” says Don Ratner, OjO Electric’s CEO. “No matter where one lives, Light Electric Vehicles (LEV’s) are a sustainable and smart choice for the environment, saving consumers time and money as they commute.”

Additionally, the Ford OjO Commuter Scooter’s 500-watt HyperGear motor climbs hills up to an 18 percent grade, while independent front and rear disk brakes offer improved breaking stability. The vehicle can support up to 300 pounds.

“Ford is excited to be a part of OjO Electric’s innovative advancement for the bike lane,” says Matt Monroe, Ford’s marketing manager for global brand licensing. “OjO Electric’s new line of Ford branded scooters allows us to offer our customers versatile electric transportation around the globe.”

Ford OjO Commuter Scooters are priced at $2,199 and up and are available in race red, lightning blue, ingot silver, and several other custom colors. Pre-sale for the U.S. and Europe will begin this year. More information can be found here.
