Bloomfield Hills-based private equity firm O2 Investment Partners has announced its investment in the wireless internet provider unWired Broadband based in Fresno, Calif.
The company works with more than 22,000 customers, providing them with fast and reliable wireless internet to rural and underserved areas in California’s Central Valley. To support growth and success from the investment in unWired Broadband, O2 Investment Partners will partner with unWired Broadband’s management team.

UnWired Broadband, is led by Peter Sorensen, Craig Demanty, Garrett Burbidge, and John Weigand has more than 167 network towers covering an area of over 14,000 miles, providing high-end and reliable service to areas that typically lack access.
