As the demand for managed services continues to grow globally, Tokyo’s NTT Communications Corp. today announced a definitive agreement to wholly acquire Southfield-based Secure-24 Intermediate Holdings, a provider of comprehensive managed information technology solutions.

Secure-24 specializes in delivering effective managed services that leverage proprietary, highly automated operation tools. Its clients include companies in a variety of industries —manufacturing, finance, pharmaceuticals, health care, insurance, government, transportation, and more.

NTT will utilize Secure-24’s portfolio of managed application and database services, including Oracle, Hyperion, JD Edwards, Microsoft, Epic, Custom, and other mission-critical applications.

“This acquisition brings the unparalleled service levels, application expertise, security, and compliance support of Secure-24 to the global NTT community,” says Mike Jennings, CEO of Secure-24.

Following the acquisition, NTT will continue the business transformation of customers by steadily enhancing its information technology functions and systems, including evolving applications on cloud platforms. The company currently operates a network reaching 190 countries and regions and more than 140 secure data centers worldwide.
