Novi’s Lineage Logistics Holdings, one of the world’s leading providers of temperature-controlled logistics solutions, has agreed to acquire Australia’s Emergent Cold. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition strengthens Lineage Logistics’ port presence in the United States, adding facilities in New Orleans, Houston, and Charleston, a newly constructed distribution center in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, and entry into the Australian, New Zealand, and Sri Lankan temperature-controlled logistics markets.
Once the transaction closes, which is expected in 2020, the combined company will feature more than 1.7 billion cubic feet of temperature-controlled capacity across 260 facilities in 10 countries, with a global footprint that will span North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.

The transaction also includes Emergent’s network of locations supporting import, export, and customs brokerage services for its customers as well as real estate at select facility sites currently leased by Emergent under long-term lease agreements.
