Interior Environments, a full-service, contract office furniture dealership in Novi, has acquired Connect People and Space, a Denver-based showroom owned by office furniture manufacturer Allsteel. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition marks the first national expansion for Interior Environments, which operates as an Allsteel furniture dealer. The showroom, located in Denver’s Lower Downtown district (LoDo District), will be rebranded as IE Connect.
“Denver is experiencing tremendous growth,” says Ryan Williams, who relocated from Detroit to become principal of IE Connect. “By bringing our resources, strategic experience, and fresh perspective to the seasoned team of professionals already in place here, we aim to become a significant player in the region’s rapidly expanding commercial furniture segment.”
Williams joins Frank Harney, fellow principal, Kim Zeller, director of design, and their staff, who he says will leverage Allsteel’s product portfolio — which includes seating, tables, collaborative furniture, and more — to grow the business.
Founded in 1999, Interior Environments has installed more than 12,000 workstations, 6,000 private offices, numerous conference rooms, training rooms, reception areas, waiting rooms, libraries, and other specialty areas for clients in industries such as automotive, health care, education, government, and architecture.
