Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace, a speciality grocer with locations in St. Clair Shores, Troy, and Clinton Township, and a fourth location in Bloomfield Township coming this summer (southwest corner of Maple and Telegraph roads), today announced the launch of Nino’s Fresh2Go, an online shopping service.

A recent trend, more gourmet markets, retail stores, and restaurants are offering delivery services to drive revenue for busy consumers. In turn, delivery services help offset a drop in sales during periods of inclement weather or road construction projects.

Nino Salvaggio’s new offering, which includes curbside pick up or delivery, is available at the Troy and Clinton Township locations, while the service will be available in the coming weeks at the St. Clair Shores store.

Featuring more than 14,000 items from 19 departments, products are available at regular store pricing. Items include fresh produce and bakery goods; meats, seafood and deli; prepared foods; Michigan-made products; and beverages, including wine and beer. Once an order is set, a variety of curbside pickup or delivery time slots are available to select.

Designed for the on-the-go-customer, Fresh2Go orders can be placed on any device, from desktop computers and tablets to smartphones. The service includes secure checkout, the option to order from past shopping lists, the ability to note special instructions for an associate to select and pack an order, and choose a desired timeframe to pick up groceries or have them delivered.

“Fresh2Go is a convenient, time saving solution that allows customers to shop the way they want, when they want,” says Kirk Taylor, president of Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace. “With Fresh2Go, we do the shopping for our customers, checking everything off their list and having the order ready in the timeframe they desire, ensuring everything in the cart is fresh at the time of curbside pickup or delivery. We already have a strong and growing Fresh2Go fan base.”

Fresh2Go customers can search for a specific product, look for items by brand name, and narrow down options by price range. A minimum order of $25 is required for curbside pickup and delivery.

Both services are available from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and until 6 p.m. on Sunday. Due to area road construction, Nino’s is offering special pricing now that will continue through the summer of $4.95 for curbside pickup and $9.95 for delivery.

Fresh2Go enables customers to place an order up to six days in advance, and the service accommodates dinner parties, business meetings, or holiday gatherings. Orders must be placed by midnight for early morning pickup or delivery the next day. Same day orders can be placed with a two-hour lead time.

Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace partnered with Troy-based WyGO for Fresh2Go delivery. The company makes deliveries in electric Chevy Bolts wrapped in the WyGO logo. Perishable items are transported in hot bags and cold bags to maintain proper temperature.

Delivery currently is available to customers who reside in Auburn Hills, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Rochester, Rochester Hills, Sterling Heights, Troy, Utica, and West Bloomfield Township for the Troy store; and Clinton Township, Macomb Township, Mount Clemens, Sterling Heights, and Utica from the Clinton Township store. The delivery service area will expand when Fresh2Go launches in St. Clair Shores and subsequently at the Bloomfield Township location.

Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace was founded by the late Nino Salvaggio in 1979, and the first store was in St. Clair Shores. For more information and to shop online, visit www.NinoSalvaggio.com.
