With Super Bowl LVIII squarely in the review view mirror, the football universe can start focusing its attention on the Motor City, host of the NFL Draft April 25-27.

Visit Detroit, the Detroit Sports Commission, the City of Detroit, the State of Michigan, the Detroit Lions, Rocket Cos., the Downtown Detroit Partnership, and Wayne County have unveiled the footprint the NFL Draft will occupy in downtown Detroit, where thousands of football fans are expected to descend for the event.

More than 55 million viewers are expected to tune into the television broadcast, and an estimated 300,000-plus people will be in attendance. Last year’s draft in Kansas City generated an estimated $164.3 million in economic activity.

The plan, developed by the NFL and the local Draft coalition, includes the 2024 NFL Draft staging and viewing area in and around Campus Martius Park, including the Monroe Block, and an NFL fan experience in Hart Plaza.

The layout of the Draft staging and viewing area was developed, according to the organizers, to maximize public viewing options while providing optimal access for fans to enjoy everything downtown has to offer, including restaurants, public spaces, and entertainment venues.

In addition to the main footprint area in and around Campus Martius Park, the public will have opportunities to view the Draft along the South Woodward Corridor and at the free NFL Draft Experience at Hart Plaza, adjacent to the Detroit Riverwalk.

As planning progresses and is finalized, the NFL will provide further insights into the staging and viewing areas for the Draft.

With the release of the NFL Draft renderings, “fans locally and across the nation now have a first look of how the iconic streets of Detroit will provide a remarkable stage for the NFL,” says Claude Molinari, president and CEO of Visit Detroit.

“For those who have yet to visit Detroit but are already making plans to attend the Draft in our city, we believe these new travelers will discover an exciting and diverse community that offers a wide variety of entertainment options to surprise and delight them.”

To assist fans with free Draft access, the NFL is offering the NFL One Pass app to register to view the Draft and participate in the NFL Draft Experience at Hart Plaza. Visit here to download the app.
