Two new businesses are joining the Village at Boyne Mountain Resort in Boyne Falls, including Forty Acres Tavern, which features American pub-style dishes, and The North Face, an outdoor clothing retailer.
Forty Acres Tavern, which is located in the former Pierson’s Grille and Spirits, features a wide variety of sandwiches and beer.
“Forty Acres Tavern is equal parts watering hole and refueling station satisfying with a selection of spirits and elevated American pub fare,” says Erin Ernst, spokeswoman for Boyne Mountain. “The menu takes traditional favorites and adds a fresh and innovative spin.”
Ernst says the menu features appetizers such as a three-cheese grilled artichoke dip and wings with a Michigan maple-sriracha glaze. Sandwich options include a turkey club wrap and a chicken sandwich with prosciutto and provolone, among others, with entrée options ranging from ribs to whitefish.
She says the bar has a selection of 40 beers, along with a variety of wine and cocktail options.
The restaurant’s name is a tribute to Boyne Mountain’s first 40 acres, which the founder of Boyne Mountain, Everett Kircher, paid only a $1.
Ernst says a grand opening celebration is planned for Saturday, which will have live music and menu samplings.
She says The North Face will offer a wide selection of men’s, women’s, and juniors’ clothing and outerwear, as well as footwear and backpacks. The store is scheduled to open Dec. 19.
Forty Acres Tavern and The North Face Store join Boyne Country Sports, Mountain Express Deli and Provisions, Boyne Outfitters, Made in Michigan, Kilwins, and Spielladen Toy and Candy.
