New RE/MAX App Developed in Northville To Roll Out Nationally

House hunters will soon have a new tool to help them find the perfect home through a new app that can compare real estate listings side-by-side along with offering full-size photos, pricing, addresses, MLS numbers, and details including square footage and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms.

The app will be available in March through RE/MAX agents in southeast Michigan. Agents can personalize the system with their photos, contact information, and company information and then pass it on to clients looking for a home in their area.

“If a customer finds something they like (via the app), that lead will go directly to the agent they’ve already worked with who gave them the app in the first place,” says Jeanette Schneider, regional vice president of RE/Max in Northville, who is leading the project through development. “We think there’s value in that. (The customer) isn’t being handed off to an agent they don’t know.”

The National Association of Realtors says 88 percent of consumer would be inclined to use a real estate agent that they’ve used in the past, but unless that agent stays in touch with them, the client might forget who they are, Schneider says. “You don’t buy a house every day. So this is one of those ways our agents can stay in contact with those clients,” she says.

“From our perspective, we’re really serving two audiences,” she adds. “We’re serving our membership and our agents to make sure they have a relevant, timely tool that they can use to brand and market themselves to clients, but it also works for customers who want to buy and sell property.”

The new RRS mobile app will be available on iPhones and iPads running iOS 5 and higher as well as Android devices running Google Android OS Version 2.2 or higher.

The app, offered through RE/Max Regional Services, also will be available to agents in Ohio, Georgia, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
