Ram Truck, a division of FCA US in Auburn Hills, will unveil its special edition Ram 1500 Rebel Black to drivers looking for an additional edge at the 2017 North American International Auto Show at Detroit’s Cobo Center next week.

The Ram Rebel Black special edition originated from one of the brand’s fastest-selling off-road vehicles, and offers dark features such as black wheels, brush guard, and all-black interior.

“Adding the Rebel Black package to an already aggressive off-road truck will continue feeding the momentum Rebel is creating for the Ram Truck brand,” says Mike Manley, head of the Jeep and Ram Brands at FCA Global. “The Ram Rebel is unique in the full-size truck segment with 33-inch off-road tires, air suspension and custom interior details.”

The Rebel Black interior features black anodized bezels on the doors, center console, instrument panel, and gauge cluster trim rings. All-black heated seats with custom embroidery continue the theme, with light slate gray accent stitching on the instrument panel, center console lid, doors, and seats. The optional black leather Katskin seats can provide further luxury. Deep rubber floor mats were added to catch snow and mud.

The Ram 1500 Rebel itself is described as bringing an “aggressive, off-road design” to the full-size truck segment, combining factory-lift, 33-inch all terrain tires, Billstein shocks, skid plates, tow hooks, and other features to make it off-road ready.

The Ram 1500 Rebel Black special addition is available in crew cab with either the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 or 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6. The Rebel Black will arrive in dealerships in March.
