Jeep has released its 2018 Jeep Wrangler equipped with a two-speed transfer case and full-time four-wheel drive for the first time in Wrangler history. The 2018 Wrangler includes portions of the original design while introducing a wider stance, a lowered belt line, and larger windows.

Several door, top, and windshield combinations are available, along with a new half-door design beginning in 2019. All Wranglers feature body-colored sport bars that feature integrated grab handles.

The interior soft-touch panel offers volume control knobs, media charging, connectivity ports, engine stop start control (ESS), and climate controls. Additionally, the model will be the first Wrangler to include a push-button starter with a weather-proof surround.

“Jeep has always represented the ultimate in capability and open-air freedom, and our all-new 2018 Wrangler protects that important legacy and takes it into the future,” said Mike Manley, head of Jeep Brand, FCA Global. “The all-new Wrangler is instantly recognizable as a Jeep, staying true to the original, yet it is better in every way – delivering even more rugged capability, more ride comfort, more fuel efficiency courtesy of several advanced powertrain options, more interior comfort, more safety, and more technology.”

The Jeep Wrangler two-door model is available in three different trim configurations: Sport, Sport S, and Rubicon; and the Wrangler four-door models are available in four different trim configurations: Sport, Sport S, Sahara and Rubicon.

The interior features a hand-wrapped instrument panel with soft-touch surface and climate and volume control knobs, media charging, Engine Stop Start, and connectivity ports for faster recognition. A push-button starter with weather-proof surround also makes its debut in the 2018-model year.

The Wrangler is Jeep’s most capable SUV to date, with the three-liter EcoDiesel V-6 and all-new 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engines, command-trac and rock-trac four by four systems, Dana axles, selec-trac full time two-speed transfer case, tru-lock electric front and rear-axle lockers, and 33-inch off road tires.
